Chief Executive Officer and Operations Manager (two posts)

Watford Women’s Centre Plus (WWC) is an award winning local charity that has been providing services to empower women and support them to improve their lives for the last 28 years. We provide non judgemental support to victims of domestic abuse, including counselling and development programmes as well as low cost accredited training courses, volunteering opportunities and job advice.

We are looking to fill two key positions to move WWC into the next phase of its development.

Chief Executive Officer

  • Up to £36,500 pa full time equivalent
  • Part time (circa 3 days a week, to be finalised with candidate)
  • Based in Watford, Hertfordshire, with flexibility to work from home from time to time.

The Chief Executive Officer role will be crucial to leading this much valued organisation into its next stage of development. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, creative and dynamic woman with exceptional leadership qualities, who is passionate about making a significant difference to the lives of women.

As CEO you will work closely with a supportive and confident Board of Trustees to develop and drive the strategic plan for WWC. You will lead a dedicated team of women focused on getting the best possible outcomes for women. You will be an experienced change manager, confident communicator, relationship builder and partnership broker with funders, commissioners and fellow providers ensuring the sustainability of WWC.

Operations Manager

  • Up to £30,000 pa full time equivalent
  • Full time (open to part time, job share and flexible working arrangements)
  • Based in Watford Hertfordshire.

The Operations role will be crucial to ensuring that the centre provides a welcoming space for all women, services are resourced and all back office functions such as IT, HR, Finance and facilities operate smoothly. We are looking for a highly organised, and experienced line manager, who can stay calm under pressure and motivate a staff team.

As Operations Manager, you will support the CEO and service leaders to ensure any woman who accesses our services obtains the highest level of care. You will manage a small team of dedicated administrative staff, oversee delivery of the volunteering service and on site toddler group. You will have managerial credibility to deputise for the CEO and the sensitivity to support a woman in crisis when required.

Counselling Placements

We are able to offer some counselling placements within the counselling service to counsellors who are completing their training. Continuous Professional Development
