DSC 0225 350pxPlus – Our Shop

Our shop was formally opened on 15th October 2013 by the Elected Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill, after a soft opening in May 2013. The 'Plus' sign above the door is to clearly indicate that this is an additional activity for the Centre, not that it only sells plus sized clothes.

The aim of the shop is to raise funds for Watford Women's Centre Plus so we can continue to provide the same or a greater range of services in the future to meet ever increasing demand. The shop sells a wide range of good quality merchandise from books to bric-a-brac, to toys, to clothing for adults and children. The shop is staffed by volunteers who offer between half a day, to three days per week each, allowing us to open six days per week, Monday to Saturday between 9:30am and 5:30pm. We are always looking for new volunteers who can help in the shop, so if you are interested in gaining retail experience then please contact us to find out more about volunteering with the Women's Centre.

We welcome donations of any kind left at the shop counter, but please don't leave them out on the door step as if they become wet we can't use them and your donation might be wasted.
