My Ally - 01923 927 500

My Ally is a new support line that is available to any woman impacted by domestic abuse or relationship struggles, whether they need a one-off phone call, or need to call time and time again.

Our volunteer call-takers are all women who have lived experience of domestic abuse and will be on hand to listen, explore practical solutions or just have a chat with any woman who makes contact.

The telephone line is not an emergency line or advice line, and any woman who needs further support than we offer will be referred in-house to our domestic abuse team at WWC Plus, or to an alternative pathway.

Our team is there to support women by providing a confidential listening ear and space for them to talk about their day, to discuss any upset or troubles they may be experiencing, to someone who has been there and can understand.

Our opening hours are currently Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm.  Telephone number is 01923 927 500.

We will soon be recruiting for our second group of volunteers.  All volunteers will undergo a thorough recruitment process and a training programme which includes:

All volunteers will be supported throughout their time with My Ally with post shift de-briefs, as well as regular mentoring from our Volunteer Coordinator and supervision from our clinical team.

Sometimes all a person wants is an empathetic ear; all they  need is to talk it out. Just offering a listening ear and an understanding heart for their suffering can be a big comfort.
