WORK VACANCIES & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Job vacancies
We currently do not have any vacancies. We do offer free careers advice to everyone, and support with CVs. We run a free job club every Tuesday also.
Why volunteer with us?
We truly value the work of passionate and committed volunteers (women aged 18+) who enable us to provide life-changing support that women in our local community need. We welcome and value volunteers’ involvement and the contribution they make to Watford Women’s Centre through their skills, experience and energy.
Volunteering benefits you too, through meeting new people and learning new skills, as well as knowing that you have made a real difference to our community.
So if you are passionate about making a positive change in our local community and have some time to spare, we would love to hear from you!
Throughout the year, we seek volunteers in a range of areas which may include:
- classroom assistants
- admin/reception work
- fundraising
- social media
- Domestic Abuse call takers
If you decide to volunteer for the Centre we will provide you with the support and development you need to carry out your role and achieve your personal goals. We are proud that many of our paid staff began their journey with us as volunteers and countless more have used the skills and experience gained as a volunteer to move into paid work of their choice.
If you have an expert skill you’d like to share, or even just think you’d make a fun team member, then we may have a space for you! For general volunteer opportunities available throughout the year please download and Complete an application form, and email it to dirin@watfordwomenscentre.org.uk
If you are interested in becoming a domestic abuse call taker, please email ally@watfordwomenscentre.org.uk for more information or to apply.
All volunteers will undergo an enhanced DBS check.
