VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are highly valued at Watford Women’s Centre and we recognise the contribution they make to the running of our service on a daily basis.

Many of our paid staff began their journey with us as volunteers and countless more have used the skills and experience gained as a volunteer to move into paid work of their choice.

We deliver a range of services to help women move away from abusive relationships, gain independence and lead productive and healthier lives. There are a range of opportunities available throughout the year.

Examples of volunteer roles include:

Volunteer support and development

If you decide to volunteer for the Centre we will provide you with the support and development you need to carry out your role and achieve your personal goals. As a Specialist women’s service, we work within an empowerment model and aim to raise the self confidence and personal agency of all volunteers.

If you have skills in any of the areas listed above and would like to find out more about the centre. Please email general@watfordwomenscentre.org.uk.  Or call 01923 816 229 for an informal chat.

WWC have helped me to get my life back on track, I have built confidence, gained administration qualifications and met some amazing women. I now volunteer as an administrator to give back to the centre and support the amazing work they do.
